Products Liability: Mesothelioma - $2.1 Million Verdict
Our firm along with Texas law firm represented the family of a man who spent his career working as an industrial maintenance mechanic in a local chemical plant. Over the many years of his employment, he was was exposed to numerous products containing asbestos. As a result of his repeated asbestos exposure, he developed mesothelioma, which is a form of lung cancer almost always associated with long-term asbestos exposure. Our firms brought a products liability action against the manufacturers of the products that caused his mesothelioma in the Maury County, Tennessee Circuit Court. Unfortunately, by the time the case made it to trial, our client had passed away from this disease. At trial, we presented extensive evidence through experts about the history of asbestos and how it was implemented in the various products involved. At the conclusion of the trial in September of 2018, a Columbia, Tennessee jury rendered a verdict for the plaintiffs in the amount of $2.1 Million. Case: Davis et al. v.
