Delivery Truck Wreck - $1.2 Million

We represented a local law enforcement officer who was working undercover when a nationally known delivery company driver carelessly pulled in front of our client. The collision was significant, and our client was flown to Vanderbilt where he was admitted to the ICU. Unfortunately, the force of the wreck caused his seatbelt to compress his abdominal cavity resulting in a mesenteric tear and internal bleeding. The surgeons at Vanderbilt were able to save his life, but he required extensive postoperative care. The case resolved in 2024 for $1.2 Million representing the most we could recover given the amount of his economic damages and the cap on his non-economic damages imposed under Tennessee law.
